This website is operated by RGA, acting as data controller or joint controller, as applicable, within the meaning of the regulations governing personal data, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
1. What personal data do we process?
Depending on the websites you use and your chosen settings (in particular in relation to cookies and other tracking technologies), the personal data concerning you that we process may include, in particular: your surname, first name, title, email address, postcode, telephone number, information relating to your professional life (including your company), as well as your connection logs (together, the “Data”).
We may also enable you to share information relating to our websites (whether desktop or mobile versions, including the corresponding applications) on social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.), in particular through sharing buttons. Please note that access to such social media platforms requires your acceptance of their contractual terms and conditions, including provisions relating to personal data regulations applicable to the processing they carry out independently of our pages on those platforms.
2. How do we collect your personal data?
Your Data is collected either on the basis of your consent or where it is necessary for the performance of your requests (including requests for information, invitations to events, or access to downloadable documents).
Fraud prevention is based on the legitimate interests of RGA.
3. Why do we collect your personal data?
Your Data is collected for the following purposes:
- to manage and optimise customer relations;
- to respond to your additional requests (including requests for quotations and appointments) by contacting you by email, telephone, or via videoconferencing applications;
- to send you information about our services, news, and events (including newsletters, alerts, invitations, and other publications), in particular through social media campaigns and email communications;
- to manage the publication of legal notices in accordance with the dedicated Privacy Policy; and
- to compile statistics and measure website traffic.
Where the processing of your Data is necessary for RGA to achieve one or more of the purposes described above, the relevant fields will be marked with an asterisk. If you do not complete these mandatory fields, RGA may be unable to respond to your requests and/or provide you with the requested products or services.
4. With whom do we share your personal data?
As data controller, RGA may share your personal data with its service providers acting as data processors, solely for technical and logistical purposes (including website hosting and maintenance providers, database management providers, and business consultants), with joint controllers whose identity is specified prior to the relevant processing operation, and with third parties in the event of a restructuring of our company, including any total or partial transfer of assets, merger, acquisition, demerger, or, more generally, any reorganisation transaction.
If you accept our General Terms and Conditions, your Data may also be used for the purposes of managing and optimising customer relations. Your Data may also be used to send you information about RGA’s services and news, in particular through advertising campaigns on social media platforms and email communications. Social media companies and email delivery service providers may therefore receive your Data.
Our audience measurement partners may also receive your Data.
Finally, RGA may disclose your Data to third parties where such disclosure is required by law, regulation, or court order, or where such disclosure is necessary to protect and defend its rights.
5. Transfers of data outside the European Union
The recipients of your Data may be located abroad, including outside the European Economic Area. Any transfer of your Data outside the European Economic Area is carried out subject to appropriate safeguards, in particular contractual safeguards, in accordance with the applicable personal data protection regulations.

6. What are your rights?
In accordance with the applicable regulations, you have the right to access and rectify your Data, as well as the right to request its erasure, object to its processing, and obtain restriction of processing or data portability, where applicable.
You may also object to your Data being used for customer profiling purposes. In that case, you will no longer be able to benefit from personalised offers or services.

7. How long do we retain your personal data?
Your Data will be retained for a period of three (3) years from the date of collection or from your last contact with RGA.
Connection logs collected, subject to your consent, through cookies and other tracking technologies implemented on our websites will be retained in accordance with the applicable regulations for a period not exceeding six (6) months.
